Boarding

Colony Animal Clinic also offers weekend boarding pick-up and drop-off times which are at 8:00 am and 4:00 pm Saturday and Sunday.  **These times are not considered business hours. Our clinic will not be open for any other services except for our boarding patients during these times.

Ease your concerns about leaving your pet behind while you’re away: Let our qualified staff take care of your four-legged family member! We will provide your dog or cat with a safe, comfortable, “home away from home” atmosphere. We are happy to accommodate any special care or needs your pet might have. Just let us know when you make the reservation.

We provide amenities such as clean bedding and food/water bowls, but feel free to bring your own if you’d prefer. Toys and other personal items that are washable are welcome. We will administer any needed medication and follow your specified feeding regimen. (Alternately, we can provide a high-quality diet and treats for no extra charge, although eating their own food tends to agree better with most boarded pets.) We can also provide grooming services such baths, ear cleaning, nail trims and anal gland expression before you pick up your pet.

Our boarding facility offers a variety of different cage sizes to best fit you and your pets comfort! We have two large suites which include: a raised bed, pet TV, outdoor run and these are also in their own separate rooms. The run’s that are available come in a few different sizes, but they all have access to their own outdoor runs! Our boarding area is equipped if different size cages which work well for the smaller dogs.

We have a separate area where we keep our feline friends! Our option for the feline boarder is a kitty condo. These are double sized cages which allow us to keep their litter box in a separate area from their food and bedding. They are kept company by our resident fish in the large fresh-water tank that is viewable from all condos.

Veterinary technicians regularly check on the pets, and our kennel staff monitors the boarding area. You have the added benefit of knowing that one of our clinicians will promptly begin treatment if your pet gets sick during his or her stay.

To keep all our patients as healthy as possible, we require pets that are boarding with us to be current on all vaccines. Dogs will need to have Rabies, Distemper, Parvo and Bordetella, while cats will need Rabies and a Feline Distemper. We also require that most vaccinations be given at least two weeks before boarding. Please call us for more information.
