Sarah Small

Practice Manager

Sarah was born in Honolulu, HI, but spent most of her life in Michigan. She has recently relocated to Daphne, AL in March 2018. She started working in the veterinary field in 2012 and has worked in both large and small animal practices. Sarah is currently working towards her Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership through the University of Charleston. She has two Border Collies, Odin and Samual, and a Bengal cat named Ragnar

Nicole DeAngelis

Veterinary Nurse

Nicole comes to us from Connecticut. She was born in Stamford, CT and now resides with her boyfriend, Pat, in Silverhill. Nicole has a huge heart for German Shepherds and owns two herself, Alex and Hobbs. She also has a Yorkie- Zoli, a Quarter horse-Teddy and a mini-pony Pickles. Nicole has never worked anywhere but in a veterinary clinic, so obviously she is a huge animal lover!

Eva Perkins

Veterinary Nurse

Eva Perkins, veterinary nurse, ran away from hairdressing to become a veterinary nurse in 1990. Eva was born in Fairhope and she and her husband Terry have twin boys, John and Jordan. They enjoy fishing and hunting. Eva also enjoys the new fish tanks at CAC.

Kim Ramey

Lead Veterinary Nurse

Kim Ramey, veterinary nurse, began her career as a veterinary nurse in 2007. Also a former hairdresser, she worked at various animal clinics including Bay Animal and Bay Animal Clinic North, now known as Parvin Animal Clinic. Born in Cullman Alabama, she is married to Blake and has two children, Seth and Sarah. Kim always is willing to help out in the reception and kennel areas.

Bethany Harness

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Bethany was born in Atlanta and came to Fairhope via Ohio. Married to Sam, Bethany is the mother of three girls, Bailey, Teagan and Nora. Bethany is also a fur mom to two beautiful long haired cats, Benson and Baron, along with Millie who is a German shepherd mix. Bethany has worked in the vet field for 12 years and graduated in 2018 with an associate degree in applied science which led her to obtain her license for Veterinary Technician all at Coastal Alabama College. In her free time, Bethany loves to spend time with her family watching movies at home.

Olivia Gardner

Veterinary Nurse

Olivia grew up in Colorado but was born in Memphis, TN. She was raised in a musical family which brought her to love singing, playing the guitar, piano and a few other instruments in her spare time. Olivia has recently moved here from Nashville to be closer to her family here in Fairhope. She also has an Old English Sheepdog, Sebastian, that is her beloved fur child along with her sweet senior rescue dog, Harry. Olivia also has various other dogs and cats that she fosters and will take in any that may show up at her door step.

Madelyn Gulsby

Veterinary Nurse

Madelyn was born in Mobile and has lived on the Eastern Shore her whole life. She is the only child in her family and has two fur babies, Cara a 13 year old Labrador, and Wesson, a 2 year old Lab/Weimaraner mix. Madelyn is currently studying at Pensacola State College for Dental Hygienist, but will be transitioning into the Veterinary Technology program in the fall. Madelyn’s dream is to one day own her own family farm where she will raise dairy cows.

Stephanie Simone

Veterinary Nurse

Stephanie was born in High Point North Carolina and moved to Baldwin County in early 2020. Being a fur mom to Dingo, a Cattle dog/Border Collie mix, Stephanie is also married with two children who are 4 and 14 years old. After graduating with a degree in Forensic Science from Forsyth Tech Community College, Stephanie started working for an OBGYN for 7 years prior to transferring to the veterinary field. Since then, Stephanie has been a Veterinary Nurse for the last 8 years prior to joining the team at Colony.

Born and raised on the Eastern Shore, Sarah has a passion for working with her Bloodhound Daisy and Labrador Leo in various outdoor sports. She loves spending time with her family and friends and enjoys taking care of the pets at Colony.

Crystal Rockwell

Kennel Assistant

Crystal was born and raised here in Daphne Alabama. She’s worked with cats and dogs for the past 6 years prior to joining the team at Colony. Crystal has two dogs of her own, Louis a Pitbull and Scrub a Terrier mix. Along with working in the kennel, Crystal is very passionate about working with all types of animals but has a huge love for Pitbull’s.

Lisa Uzelac

Head Client Service Representative

Even though Lisa was born in Indiana, she has lived all over the country growing up with a college football coach Dad. Lisa enjoys her two boys, Elliot and Isaac, three and half dogs (half being Charlie Brown, sharing custody with Leslie Childress) and relaxing at the beach with the sun and sand with her family. Her son Elliot says she is very competitive with bowling.

Ellie Alewine

Client Service Representative

Born in Pittsburg, Ellie and her husband Mike have a son and two grandsons. After losing their 17 year old Maltese Millie, they opted not to get an “official” pet right now. They have an open door policy for the animals in the neighborhood that come over daily for a visit. Ryder, Sadie, Lucki, Ike, Belle and Bella know that they can go to cookietail time at the Alewine’s anytime, because after all, its’ 5:00 somewhere. One of Ellie’s neighbors commented how good her dog smelled when she came back home; Ellie had bathed her.

Lauren Ardis

Client Service Representative

Lauren comes to us via Belleville, Illinois, fifteen years ago; married to Reggie they have two teenage daughters, Devon and Kimberly. Lauren worked in retail prior to coming to us to find zen with our four legged friends. She enjoys estate and antique sales, looking for treasures to bring back to life.

Leslie Childress

Client Care Coordinator

Leslie Childress is the head veterinary nurse and boss to all. She was born and raised in Fairhope and knows just about everyone. Leslie is the go-to person for questions having been in the veterinary field for 35 years. Besides co-parenting Charlie Brown with Lisa, she is married to Wesley and has a son, Fuller, who keeps her busy with his sports and snake hunting.
